Quicksilver and the Environment
Quicksilver are committed to providing an environmentally sound solution to the processing of mercury waste. Our process contains all the necessary interlocks and secondary systems required to provide full environmental protection. Environmental monitoring at a number of points around its site is constantly undertaken and the results reported to the UK Environmental Agency for inclusion in the public record.
In addition, Quicksilver undertakes regular biological monitoring of its workforce as part of its total commitment to a safe and environmentally sound recycling option.
Our systems and processes are licenced under an IPPC authorisation and Quicksilver are committed to continuing to improve their environmental performance.
ISO Accreditations
Quicksilver Recovery are accredited with both the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental standards which between them committ the company to robust quality systems as well as ongoing environmental improvements.
